Today’s snippet is from To Love and To Cherish, a novel spinning off from ’Til Death Do Us Part, now available in both ebook and print formats.
Picking up where I left off last week when Nash had rushed to the bathroom to vomit under the emotional strain of the thought of meeting Sam (his former fiancé) again. Here are seven lines (sorry) told from Nash’s 3rd-person POV:
Nash flushed, then found a washcloth in the cabinet under the sink. Thankfully there was a bottle of mouthwash there, too. He wet the cloth and wiped his face, then tried to open the bottle with one hand. His hand shook as he placed the bottle between his thighs, then he dropped it and whimpered, reflexively, before remembering his listening audience.
He took a deep breath, leaned against the wall, and closed his eyes. He needed to get a grip. Falling apart like this wasn’t going to help matters.

One can sense the turmoil here–a very interesting snippet 🙂
Lots of emotion and upheaval here, you can really get a sense of his pain.
Emotionally powerful snippet, which makes me feel all too keenly for poor Nash.
