Treadmill Week 11 & What I #amreading – Places in Time by Cardeno C. – Blowing It by Kate Aaron

Treadmill Goals:

  • Get on the treadmill (or equivalent exercise) daily
  • Pace is fine at 30 min/mile, although I may up it on occasion
  • Time range between 30 minutes and 1 hour per day
  • Distance 1-2 miles per day
  • Read the chosen book, which I won’t allow myself to read outside of my treadmill time, hopefully motivating me to reach or exceed the above goals (the only exception to this is Saturday nights, if I want to finish off a book so I can start a fresh on for the new week)

Note: Although I will try to avoid them, my daily #amreading updates may or may not contain spoilers, so read at your own risk.

I amended the 5th rule, above so that I can finish books on Saturday nights if I want. Which is what I did once again with the book from last week. I figured I should change the rule since I’d broken it two weeks in a row. 😊

My favorite lines this week:

  • SUNDAY: “Yeah? Well, I figure if I’m going to have a break with reality, I may as well go with it.” I came up next to her and looked around. “So, you wanna tell me what we’re doing here?” – I like Ethan’s attitude!
  • MONDAY: “I think Jude maybe likes me a little. You know, in that way.”

Ginger sighed dramatically and straightened up in her seat. “I think you may have the emotional maturity of a twelve year old. You know, in every way.

Finished the book. It was quite sweet. 💕

  • TUESDAY: Saying I got bored of living off baked beans and freeze-dried noodles and sold out shatters the illusion, but that’s what I did.
  • WEDNESDAY: “So where are you taking me? he asked, loping along with boyish strides.
  • THURSDAY: I slid my palms down his flanks and tickled his waist to see it convulse as he laughed, confirming my suspicions he’d been sucking his stomach in. I liked the little sign of insecurity, the way he tried to make himself seem more attractive for me. It wasn’t necessary, but it was sweet nonetheless.
  • FRIDAY: “You filthy whore. Details, now! Was he hung? He looks hung.”
  • SATURDAY: I sipped my drink, watching him over the rim of my glass. “Smart, handsome, and you can cook as well? My mother might kill me if I fuck this one up.”

  1. Every day for 11 weeks?? You’re amazing! Great job, Addison!!

And I LOVE Places in time. I love everything Cardeno C to be honest. It’s just the right sweetness for me 🙂

    1. It was very sweet. I like that, too. And I love short stories!
If you haven’t read the other, I’d recommend it (highly). It’s a great blend of sweet, drama, hotness, and humor.
