Gavin Mitchel has resigned himself to a lonely and unfulfilling love life, but his first meeting with Ryker Hudson is as steamy as it is random, which is precisely the way Ryker likes it. Their second meeting, while equally random, is beyond awkward.

Although a fourteen-year age difference stands in their way, a much larger obstacle is also blocking their path. Together, Ryker and Gavin must find the strength to overcome the roadblocks or bid farewell to their happily ever after.

**This is a male/male romance meant for ages 18+ due to adult language and situations.**

10 Things You Didn’t Know About Becoming a Published Author
  1. You find yourself having conversations with fictional characters. Especially while driving alone and in the shower. Or, maybe that’s just me?
  2. You meet the most amazing fellow authors in the world. Seriously! I feel like so lucky to know so many awesome authors! It’s so enjoyable to pal around and chat with others who not only get the craziness of a writer’s brain, but who also understand the highs and lows of being a published author.
  3. Sending your words out into the world is excruciating. Every time. I’m on book thirteen and it doesn’t get easier. Or, at least it hasn’t yet.
  4. Every time you get ready to publish a book, you’ll need to make a list of the one million tasks that need to be completed. And, even then, you’ll likely forget something. Again, though, maybe that’s just me?
  5. Your real-life friends will learn that when you say “a friend of mine,” there’s a 50/50 chance you’re referring to a character in one of your books. But, they truly do start to feel like friends!
  6. You’ll meet the most amazing readers in the world. Truly, the readers I am lucky enough to talk to online and meet in person are the most fabulous readers in the entire world! It’s humbling when someone takes a chance on your work and loves it enough to review it and reach out to you.
  7. A bad review can bring you down, and a good review can make you smile for days. I know I’m not the only one who would rather smile than cry.
  8. It will make you feel crazy insane. All the time. Deadlines, plot twists, honing your craft, events, formatting, uploading, paperbacks, ARCs, the list of crazy-inducing goes on and on…but it’s a good kind of crazy!
  9. It will make you question yourself with every single word you write. Yep. EVERY word. Could I write it better? Should I change it? Cut it completely? Does it convey the right meaning? Is it the perfect word/sentence?
  10. It’s beyond difficult, but extremely rewarding. Aside from the pride I take in my children and the successes I have with my students, my publishing career is one of the most humbling, fun, and amazing adventures I’ve ever been on, and I look forward to wherever the journey may take me

💕 Meet the Author

A.D. Ellis spends the majority of her days loving and wrangling two school-aged children and a husband before heading to the inner city of Indiana to teach a challenging group of alternative education students in grades third through sixth. Most days she hits the gym after school in hopes of running and lifting away the stress and headaches of the day before picking up her children and squeezing a whole day’s worth of loving and living into the too-short hours before bed. It’s no wonder Ms. Ellis lives for the slower, easier days she gets to enjoy on breaks from school.

Growing up in a small farming town in southern Indiana, A.D. is grateful to her mother for passing along the love of reading. With her nose constantly stuck in a book, Ms. Ellis became accustomed to friends and acquaintances snickering and shaking their heads at her love of reading.

A.D. never dreamed of being anything but a teacher, although there are certain times of the year when she laments her career choice. Ms. Ellis had a story idea floating in her head for about a year. After persistent prodding from a friend, A.D. put pen to paper and began writing her first story in October 2013. From that moment on, she was hooked. Taking the people and stories from her head and sharing them with readers is a scary, exhausting, rewarding, and fulfilling experience which A.D. plans to continue until there are no more stories banging around in her mind.

A.D. Ellis’ work can be found on both iBooks and Amazon. Please contact her on Facebook, Twitter, or her website.
