May 19, 2017 Prompt – Adventures with Harrison and Mason #FlashFic #FlashFictionFriday

I came across this list of writing prompts for May, 2017 on the Writer’s Write page and thought I’d give it a whirl. I’m going to try for a series of drabbles (precisely 100-word scenes) that will flow together featuring the characters from my Adventures with Harrison and Mason flash fiction story scenes.

May-Prompts

May 19, 2017 — Calibri

Also includes “Cocktail,” left in the comments of last week’s Flash Fiction Friday post.

(Mason’s 3rd-person POV)

Mason sipped Harrison’s diva daiquiri and peered over the man’s shoulder. “Who are you drunk-emailing?”

“My sister. Wha’ makes you think I’m drunk?”

“Besides the fact we finished off a bottle of wine together, and you’re now on your second cocktail?” Mason landed a light kiss to Harrison’s forehead. “There’s that wacky font you’re using.”

“It’s ‘herculanum.’” Harrison giggled through his harrumph. “My sister’s done a lot for us. She deserves better than just basic ‘calibri’ or some other boring font.”

“True.” Mason sat and covered his mouth to stifle a snicker. “Use ‘Curlz MT’ to give her my love.”

To be continued tomorrow using ‘tainted.’

All the drabbles in this series using the May, 2017 prompts can be found here (note: to read them in order, you’ll need to scroll to the bottom of the category list and read up from there).

Lol, poor sister to read that email!! 🙂 Fun fonts are fun, but difficult to use. I’ve downloaded the Jane Austen font (hehe), but when can I use it without looking like a fool? I might have to write a historical book, set in Jane Austen-times and then bribe JMS to use the font for the title? 😀

Wait! I forgot to give you a word! Hm….how about “universally”? Since I talked about Jane Austen and “It is a truth universally acknowledged…”? 🙂

Good word! I can probably get it to work well with “congrats,” too! 😀
