Guest Post at Joyfully Jay

Today, I’ve got a guest post up over on the wonderful Joyfully Jay M/M Romance Reviews and More blog. In it, I talk about why I decided to update the story and publish a 2nd edition of Cultivating Love and discuss what those changes are. #FlashFictionFriday – Cultivating Love Alternate Universe Scene

Today’s Flash Fiction Friday post uses the words left in last week’s post: queen – queer – queue This is another “alternate universe” scene for Cultivating Love, and the action in this scene takes place prior to the published story. Note: The action in this scene is NOT consistent with the published story, and cannot be considered a true prequel. The action in this scene is also unrelated to that …

Win a Signed Copy of Cultivating Love on TRR’s Sizzling Summer Reads Party

My contest Q&A is up on The Romance Reviews’ Sizzling Summer Reads Party today, June 28, from 12:00am EST to 11:59pm EST. That’s the officially listed time range, but I’m gonna assume they mean “EDT” (Eastern Daylight Time—UTC-04:00) rather than “EST” (Eastern Standard Time—UTC-05:00) since we are currently following Daylight Savings Time here in the USA. Anyway, this post is scheduled to go live at the same time as the contest. Scroll …

Cultivating Love – Review Roundup

Donna at Love Bytes Same Sex Book Reviews had some nice things to say about Cultivating Love, and rated it a 4.5 out of 5. Here are a couple excerpts from her review: I first read this book years ago, when it was released through a different publisher. I continue to re-read it at least once a year, and I love it even more each time. Now that the author has …

Treadmill Fail this Week

I can say that I spent an hour mowing the lawn last Sunday, but otherwise I totally blew off my exercise/treadmill goal this week. I do have an excuse: I’ve had company spending the week with me, and since they were using the fold-out couch in the room that houses the treadmill, it would have been awkward. Plus I’ve had my 2-year-old granddaughter pretty much around the clock for the …

#RainbowSnippets June 24, 2017 – Cultivating Love

I’ve joined the Rainbow Snippets group on Facebook. From their description: “Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQ+ authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).” Pretty cool, eh? Don’t forget to “Like” my Facebook page and/or my Facebook profile while you’re over there checking out this fantastic group! WooHoo! It’s …

#FlashFictionFriday 06/23/2017 Adventures with Ben and Jerry #FlashFic

Here is the third of the three original story scenes reintroducing my old Adventures with Ben & Jerry characters. Like the scenes posted the past two Fridays, this was written back in 2008 or 2009 and posted on the Torquere Livejournal Social Group. Way back when, authors at Torquere would sign up to host the group for a day when they wanted to promote a new release (or whatever). One of …

Treadmill Week 30 & What I #amreading

Treadmill Goals: Get on the treadmill (or equivalent exercise) daily Pace is fine at 30 min/mile, although I may up it on occasion Time range between 30 minutes and 1 hour per day Distance 1-2 miles per day Read the chosen book, which I won’t allow myself to read outside of my treadmill time, hopefully motivating me to reach or exceed the above goals (the only exception to this is …

I Revamped the Website’s Menu

While researching how to remove a page from the menu while still keeping it live to look at via a link**, I figured out how to add individual blog posts to the website menu. Why would I want to do that? Because I’ve written a lot of flash fiction and bonus scenes for my publications that are in blog posts. They’d been accessible via category links, but it was still …
