#FlashFictionFriday August 18, 2017 – Adventures with Ben and Jerry

Flash Fiction Friday

Today’s Flash Fiction Friday scene uses the 3 words left in the comments of last week’s post (kiss – jockstrap – eggplant), and for an additional photo-prompt I’m using the very yummy screen-printed image, below:

This is a precisely 100-word drabble featuring the recurring characters from Adventures with Ben & Jerry.

Told from Ben’s 3rd-person POV:

Adventures with Ben and Jerry: Shopping

Ben rubbed his eyes as he stumbled into the kitchen. Jerry sat at the table with a bowl of cereal, a cup of coffee, and an open laptop in front of him.

“Good morning!” Jerry blew him a kiss. “Get enough sleep?”

Ben merely groaned. Actually, he’d slept like the dead after Jerry had worn him out, but he was so not a morning person. “What are you doing?”

“Shopping. Can’t decide if it’s for you or me.”

Ben looked over Jerry’s shoulder at the Andrew Christian jockstrap covered in little eggplant images and sputtered. “Pretty sure it’s for you.”

Leave as many prompt words as you like in the comments, but I’ll only promise to use one from each contributor in next week’s post (although I’ll try to use them all).

  1. OMG I can’t believe you found those underwear!! I almost fell of my chair laughing when I saw the picture 🙂

You don’t want words for next week? Have you grown tired of my stupid suggestions? 😂

Btw: love the new design! 🙂

    1. Thank you! 🙂 Yes, please feel free to leave words. I missed that bit when I was rearranging stuff. I’ll go in and edit it. <3

    2. The design is still a work-in-progress as I tweak the book pages to all look better and less cluttered in it. Gotta pare down the footer widgets, too. :-/ Hopefully it’ll be in good shape by the end of the day.

      How’s Sweden? 😀

      1. Sweden is great. I’m so happy to see my daughter again. Haven’t met her in person since December, so there’s a great risk I might hug her to death 🙂

I really like the new design. It’s clean and a lot less cluttered. Great job!!

And sorry for taking so long (hotel wifi is crappy and during the day I’ve been busy), but here’s the words for next week: reunion, family, love 🙂

        1. Glad to hear your visit is going well! Enjoy your family time. 😍 (And thank you for the lovely words)
