Flash Fiction Friday

Adventures with Ben and Jerry - dreamstime_xs_3423733Today’s Flash Fiction Friday scene uses the two words left in the comments of last week’s post:

glabrous – hairy 😁

This is a precisely 100-word drabble featuring my Adventures with Ben and Jerry recurring flash fiction characters.

Told from Ben’s 3rd-person POV:

Adventures with Ben & Jerry – Tipsy Jerry
This one is rated R so only click through if you are 18 or older.
Jerry giggled and trailed a finger along Ben’s abdomen. “Your treasure trail is glabrous.”

Ben snorted into Jerry’s neck. “How drunk are you?”

“I made up a word.” Jerry nipped his way down the path he’d just traced. “It means glorious plus fabulous, just like your beautiful, hairy, yummy, tummy.”

The vocabulary lesson could wait. Instead, Ben sighed and carded his fingers through the hair on Jerry’s head. “Your mouth is glabrous.”

“Nope,” Jerry mumbled into Ben’s hipbone. “You gotta make up your own word.”

Ben struggled to focus. “Won-tastic?”

As Jerry moved to the main event, Ben gasped, “amaz-erful!”

Leave as many prompt words as you like in the comments, but I’ll only promise to use one from each contributor in next week’s post (although I’ll try to use them all).

  1. LOL, I love it. Gold star for very creative use of the word, and for making up the other fun words too 🙂

Hmmm…what to choose for next week? How about “yearning” and “heart” — I want something romantic 🙂

    1. Thank you!

Great words. Decisions, decisions…who’s going to get the slushy scene? Nash & Emmitt? Ed and Joe (with a true bonus scene)? Maybe a new stand-alone couple?
