Treadmill Goals/Tracking
- Get on the treadmill (or equivalent exercise) daily
- Pace is fine at 30 min/mile, although I may up it on occasion
- Time range between 30 minutes and 1 hour per day
- Distance 1-2 miles per day
- Read the chosen book, which I won’t allow myself to read outside of my treadmill time, hopefully motivating me to reach or exceed the above goals (exception…at the end of the week where a book is highlighted, I will finish it off-treadmill so I can feature something new the next week)

My favorite lines this week:
✿✿ SUNDAY ✿✿
“You know, that was the worst dad joke I had in my arsenal. I can’t believe it worked.” Warm amusement infused Turlach’s voice as he said it, but Saito was helpless to answer, only able to chortle and smother his face in the powdery scent his friend carried. It was from the baby wipes they all used for quick cleanup.
✿✿ MONDAY ✿✿
Saito hummed like he agreed, and silence descended in a soft blanket around them. The smell of the plants and the dark shadows folding him in were nice. For a moment, it was almost as though he were home in Dundalk. Not picking the fat, oblong eggplants, though. That was out of the ordinary.
✿✿ TUESDAY ✿✿
As his heart slowed to a normal beat, Saito rubbed his hands over his burning face. “Holy shit,” he whispered into the still, bland air. “What the fuck was that?”
There was no answer.
✿✿ WEDNESDAY ✿✿
No, Saito was not a farmer, but he was starting to see the appeal. All his meticulous study of agriculture was wonderful, but there was a magical quality to this as well, the ability to watch and help a living thing grow large and strong from a tiny speck of seed.
✿✿ THURSDAY ✿✿
One look at that demur, hopeful face and those eyes, deep as a black hole, and he lost his ability to think. Lost his sense of appropriate and civilized behavior. When had he become a cave man?
✿✿ FRIDAY ✿✿
He’d come across bowls of ramen less tangled.
✿✿ SATURDAY ✿✿
Warmth bloomed like a flower in his chest. It seemed ’Lach was of the same mind about their future. “I can’t wait.”
I love the covers, they look so good together!! 🙂
Yes! This series has fantastic covers, and the stories are intriguing…they make you think. I’m looking forward to reading the third book now to see how this concludes!
