🎉 I’m thrilled to let you know I’ve got a box set collecting the three books in The Plans Trilogy coming out at JMS Books on May 28.
My snippet this week comes from the first story in the trilogy, The Contingency Plan.
For context, this scene takes place later in the same day after Prince Marcelo of Sheburat is shocked to learn he is to marry Crown Prince Efren of Zioneven to satisfy the contingency plan embedded in the terms of a treaty signed between their two kingdoms.

Marcelo’s 3rd-person POV
With his shoulders back, Marcelo strode to the chair reserved for him. His face heated with the knowledge that all eyes were on him as a servant pulled out the chair. A quiver zipped up his spine as he sat so close to Prince Efren he could smell the clean musky scent of the man mixed with a whiff of a lightly floral cologne. The quiver was alien, but not unwelcomed. It was…reassuring.
