It’s past time I posted a roundup of the To Love and To Cherish and Vows Box Set Audiobook reviews!

To Love and To Cherish

Lora at Sarah’s Reading Corner rated it 4 out of 5 stars for story, narration, and overall, and said: “This story had it’s ups and downs, but I so enjoyed listening to how much Emmitt cared for Nash and how much Nash came to realize his feelings for Emmitt, too. Though the way they came together might have been a little unorthodox, it all worked out in the end.”

Annika at Boy Meets Boy Reviews rated it 3-1/2 out of 5 stars and said: “I loved Nash and Emmitt and they were just perfect for each other, ridiculous situations and agreements aside. They were fun and sweet, a bit naïve at times, but enjoyable to read about all the same.”

Carra at Making It Happen rated the story 4-1/2 out of 5 stars, and the narration 4 out of 5 stars, and said: “Fans of any kind of M/M romance will enjoy this story-you’ve got a lot of fun tropes thrown in here that all work together to result in a really good read.”

Chantelle at United Indie Book Blog rated it 5 out of 5 stars and said: “This was a nice easy read and a good story. You find yourself rooting for Nash and Emmett to find happiness. The writing in this book was done very well. I’ll be reading more by the author. Keep up the awesome work! Can’t wait to read more of your books.”

Debbie at Archaeolibrarian rated it 4 out of 5 stars for story, narration, and overall.

Vows Box Set

I’ve only found 3 blog reviews of the audiobook and they were all excellent! 💕

ButtonsMom2003 at Extreme Delusions rated it 5 out of 5 stars and said: “Once I started listening to this story I couldn’t stop. I listened to book 1 without taking a break. I had to split the rest up over the next couple of days but I really, really wanted to keep going. I’m fairly new to audio books partly because I never really thought that one would be able to hold my attention very well. That is also is why I’d previously only listened to books that I’ve already read. The Vows Box Set proved me wrong. I was engrossed in the story and just had to keep listening.

I’m not sure if I would have the same reaction to this series if I’d read the ebook, and not listened to the audio, but I like to think that I would. I’ve never listened to anything by David Gilmore before and I enjoyed his voice.”

Jim at Jim’s Reading Room rated it 5 out of 5 stars and said: “The entire Vows series is one intense emotional roller coaster ride after another. Just the prologue of ‘Til Death Do Us Part kicked my emotions in high gear.

The series would make an incredible TV mini-series, or maybe even a feature-length film.

This is not the first of Ms. Albright’s works I’ve read but it is by far the best and I hope to see more of Sam, Henry, Aiden, Nash, Emmitt and the rest of the gang.

I don’t usually become emotionally vested in a story, but this series grabbed ahold of me and didn’t let go until the very end of the series.

Readers. I wish you luck NOT getting drawn in. It’s pretty much unavoidable.

I cannot recommend the Vows box set highly enough. 5 out of 5 stars.

Well done, Ms. Albright, well done.”

Rachael at Wicked Reads rated it 5 out of 5 stars and said: “Overall, I have to say it was a very sweet set of stories that were interesting and unique and fun.”

From This Day Forward

Revisiting the characters from ’Til Death Do Us Part, Henry and Sam Miller-Greene are enjoying life in the summer after Henry’s rescue from a small South Pacific island, where Henry and three others were marooned.

Henry and Sam thought adopting Aiden—a child with whom Henry’d been stranded—would be smooth sailing. Matters are complicated by the public nature of their rescue that has turned the survivors into overnight celebrities. Anti-gay fueled animus rears its ugly head in the blogosphere, causing concerns over the impact libelous rumors might have on Aiden.

Their nightmare separation behind them, Henry and Sam are anxious to renew both the intensity of their former intimacies—now hampered by having a curious and still apprehensive child sharing their home—and their commitment to one another.

To Love and To Cherish

Will Nash find love again? Of course he will. Will he go about it in the usual manner? Now that’s another story entirely.

Jilted by his fiancé two weeks before their wedding, Nash Marino’s outlook on life in general, and love in particular, is jaded. After months of couch-surfing, Nash is fed up. He’s sick and tired of his living conditions, worn out by the demands of his nursing job, and despairs of ever finding love again. In fact, he doesn’t think he’s capable of true love. Monogamy, commitment, companionship, and regular sex…that’s all he wants, and the sooner, the better.

When Nash crosses paths with a like-minded man who’s also in need of a live-in nurse for a beloved relative, Nash figures all his problems are solved. Matters are complicated by a freak accident and amnesia. When Nash’s marriage of convenience scheme is muddied by notions of love after his memory reboot, will their plans go awry, or will Nash’s new outlook on life be just what the doctor ordered?

  1. That was me! I nominated To Love and To Cherish in the 2017 Goodreads M/M Romance group’s Members’ Choice Awards! First book in a long time that I absolutely needed to reach the end of.

    1. Thank you so much! I hadn’t even been paying attention to the nomination process because I didn’t realize the release date cutoff included my November 2016 story, so I didn’t think I had anything eligible. Not that I would have expected it anyway! ♡ It was in the voting phase before Nell asked me if I knew it was listed. I was so chuffed to see TLaTC had been nominated. 😃

I’m glad you liked that story. It’s my personal favorite from among my own books. I had so much fun writing it!
