I’m thrilled to let you know I’ve got a box set collecting the three books in The Plans Trilogy coming out at JMS Books on May 28. I figured I should crawl out of my cave to promote it! 😂 My snippet this week comes from the first story in the trilogy, The Contingency Plan.

For context, this scene takes place shortly after Prince Marcelo of Sheburat is shocked into a dead faint by Crown Prince Efren of Zioneven’s announcement that he’s choosing Marcelo to become his spouse to satisfy the contingency plan embedded in the terms of a treaty signed between their two kingdoms. Marcelo has awakened in his bed chamber and is speaking with his father.
