My Heat Rating & Story Length Classifications
Heat Rating Scale
This is the heat-rating scale I use to describe my books on this website. It may or may not match up with the books’ publisher(s) and/or distributor scales.
(0) – No heat whatsoever.
(1) – Sweet – Kisses with maybe some mild petting shown onscreen.
(2) – Subtle – Sensual, but not explicit. Physical interaction beyond kissing and touching is implied and/or described in general terms. Emotions emphasized over graphic description.
(3) – Moderate – While physical details are described, they are not graphically depicted.
(4) – Explicit – Intimate scenes are described using more graphic terms.
(5) – Erotica – Extremely explicit language is used. The story is secondary to the sex scenes.
