The Dream On Series

Each story in this series features a different pair of MCs introduced in the prior book. Closets Are for Clothes features Mike and Wes as they deal with Mike’s journey to come out to his family. Dreams Are for Real features Marty and Larry. Marty is Mike’s uncle who was mentioned but not seen in Closets, and Larry is a very shy man whom outgoing Marty helps to emerge from his shell. Grudges Are for Losers features Trevor and Quinn, who were both side characters in Dreams, where Trevor was the jealous antagonist vying for Marty’s favor.

The second two stories are a work in progress. Release dates are pending, and titles are tentative.

These are comprehensively rewritten and reedited stories whose earlier editions were previously published both individually and in a collection. These earlier versions are no longer available.

Book 1 – Closets Are For Clothes

On the scale balancing his self-esteem on one side, and the love of his family on the other, Mike has to decide which weighs more. Is Mike being fair to his parents by not giving them the chance to know his real self? When the delicate balance of his life is disrupted, he decides he’s tired of living a lie. Will Wes understand his concerns, or will their fledgling relationship crumble under the strain of Mike’s uncertainty?

NOTE: Closets Are for Clothes is a from-the-ground-up comprehensively rewritten and reedited version of A Dream Come True (published by Addison at Torquere Press in February, 2009). While the theme of the original story is the same, and many important scenes will be recognizable, the way the characters deal with important events is handled differently than in the original story and much of the story’s backdrop and side characters have changed. Beyond converting the story from an alternating 3rd-person POV to being told entirely from Mike’s 1st-person POV, this is a significantly changed retelling of the story.

Book 2 – Dreams Are for Real – Featuring Larry & Marty

This story is a work in progress. The first edition was previously published under the name Another Dream at Torquere Press on July 8, 2009.

Marty & Larry is a comprehensively rewritten and reedited version of Another Dream.

Book 3 – Grudges Are for Losers – Featuring Trevor & Quinn

Quinn & Trevor is a comprehensively rewritten and reedited version of Dreaming of You.
