Treadmill Week 68 & What I #amreading

Treadmill Goals/Tracking

  • Get on the treadmill (or equivalent exercise) daily
  • Pace is fine at 30 min/mile, although I may up it on occasion
  • Time range between 30 minutes and 1 hour per day
  • Distance 1-2 miles per day
  • Read the chosen book, which I won’t allow myself to read outside of my treadmill time, hopefully motivating me to reach or exceed the above goals (exception…at the end of the week where a book is highlighted, I will finish it off-treadmill so I can feature something new the next week)

What I’m Reading

Note: Although I will try to avoid them, my weekly reading snippets may or may not contain spoilers, so read at your own risk.

What I #amreading:

My favorite lines this week:

✿✿ SUNDAY ✿✿

(From Promise Me We’ll Be Okay) – No hair ever dared to stray from his Ivy League haircut.

✿✿ MONDAY ✿✿

(From Promise Me We’ll Be Okay) – I didn’t like seeing him uncertain. He was a guy who was assured of himself. Never doubted himself or his intelligence. But he was never arrogant. No, he hid a kind and generous man behind his cocky smile. It was one of the things that had attracted me to him in the first place; all the different layers of his personality. The sides of him he only ever showed me.

(From Promise Me We’ll Be Okay) – He spun us around, pressed me up against the wall as if we were stereotypes in a romance novel, and pushed his knee between my legs.

✿✿ WEDNESDAY ✿✿ (Hehehe…need I say I look forward to Benji (the character speaking) getting his own story?)

(From Promise Me We’ll Be Okay) – “Oh look at me using bad pickup lines on you when I said I wouldn’t make a move.” He grinned at me. “Is this the time for me to ask if you want to come up and look at my etchings?”

(From Promise Me We’ll Be Okay) – “Fuck it,” I muttered. “You be you,” I added and rolled my eyes at myself. Great. Now I was talking to my hair.

✿✿ FRIDAY ✿✿

(From Role Model) – “Sorry, mate, going to be closed off for hours,” the copper at the police tape said. “If you go back and take the turn—” He stopped when Paul held up his Press pass. “Christ, can you lot smell the blood?”

(From Role Model) – “All these years,” he said. “Lying. Laughing when people made jokes about poofs. Every time I lied or laughed, I felt another piece of my soul blacken and shrivel up. I don’t think there’s much of it left.”

  1. Yaaaaay, look at that!! Seeing you read my books never gets old ❤️

And Benji will get a book, I promise. He’ll have to wait though because the idea I have for him works with one of the sub calls from JMS (May/December, deadline Dec 31).

    Thank you ❤️❤️
