I’m keyed up about my upcoming release at JMS Books. I’ve been anxious for Nash to get his own HEA ever since he lost his fiancé only two weeks before their wedding in ’Til Death Do Us Part.

Poor guy. Even readers of ’Til Death who felt somewhat sorry for Nash were still rooting against him. But, he deserves happiness, too, darn it.

Nash’s journey isn’t a simple one. He’s disillusioned. He no longer believes in true love, at least not for himself. Love is fleeting. It’s bullshit. It hurts.

Still, he longs for the life that disappeared when he lost Sam. Homey companionship, a partner for going out and having fun, stability, and regular sex.

There’s a touch of all my favorite guilty pleasure tropes in To Love and To Cherish. My original intent was to make this a simple marriage of convenience story. Two guys marry for practical reasons but fall in love despite themselves. It didn’t turn out to be that easy for Nash.

As Nash’s dad tells him, he’s a “weird shit magnet.” A freak accident results in memory loss, complicating Nash’s understanding of his new relationship while adding hurt/comfort into the mixed bag of tropes along with a dash of doctor/nurse, gay virgin, and unrequited love.

This story is so much fun. I hope you’ll enjoy reading it as much as I loved writing it!
