May 26, 2017 Prompt – Adventures with Harrison and Mason #FlashFic #FlashFictionFriday

I came across this list of writing prompts for May, 2017 on the Writer’s Write page and thought I’d give it a whirl. I’m going to try for a series of drabbles (precisely 100-word scenes) that will flow together featuring the characters from my Adventures with Harrison and Mason flash fiction story scenes.

May-Prompts

May 26, 2017 — Congrats

Also includes “Universally,” left in the comments of last week’s Flash Fiction Friday post.

(Mason’s 3rd-person POV)

Mason stood and glanced at Jaxon. “Okay, let’s go in.” He set his jaw and channeled Lizzy Bennett with the thought, it’s a truth universally acknowledged that a man faced with losing his independence will hold onto it with all his might.

But, they didn’t intend to strip Gramps of his freedom. He was far from helpless. But he was lonely, and more and more could use some help. Hopefully, Harrison was making headway.

Mason’s knees buckled at the sight of the huge smile on Harrison’s face. Gramps turned and winked. “Congrats, your softhearted husband finally talked me into it.”

To be continued tomorrow using ‘Hey, ho!’

All the drabbles in this series using the May, 2017 prompts can be found here (note: to read them in order, you’ll need to scroll to the bottom of the category list and read up from there).

Flash Fiction Friday

Feel free to leave a prompt word in the comments for me to include in next week’s Flash Fiction Friday post.

  1. Oh, Addison! I love, love, LOVE it!! My Jane Austen-heart goes pitter-patter in my chest! 😀 You’re fabulous <3

And just because you're so fabulous, I will NOT make good on my threat and give you a mean word for next Friday 🙂 So let's go with "kiss" 🙂
